Bayville Scream Park - Throughout the 1950’s, Bayville was a town in terror. Locals feared to leave their homes at night. Tales of horrid, undead creatures swarming around the old Bay Family home, Bloodworth Haunted Mansion and nightly sightings of vampires and ghouls feeding on hapless victims were common. There were many mysterious, unsolved disappearances. Bayville was in chaos. The trouble began in 1953 when a mysterious member of the Bay family, Barnabus Bay returned to Bayville. A former vampire hunter who sought to rid the world of Dracula, Barnabus was bitten by the king of the vampires after an epic battle in Transylvania and turned into his worst nightmare. The Vampire Hunter had become a vampire. Barnabus locked himself inside Bloodworth Haunted Mansion and was never seen again… during the day. But at night, he and the other horrors that lurked inside the Mansion would emerge and wreak havoc in the peaceful town. During the Halloween season of 1959, in an effort to put a stop to the turmoil, the town elders of Bayville proposed a contract with Barnabus Bay. The contract stated that every year, Barnabas and his undead horde would be given the month of October to roam free throughout The Carnival of Wonders (now known as Bayville Adventure Park). They would be allowed to celebrate their favorite holiday, Halloween. They would be allowed… to feed. In turn, they would never again venture out into the town of Bayville. And for the rest of the year the vampires, zombies and other creatures of the night would remain locked inside “Bloodworth Haunted Mansion” and never leave. Barnabus Bay accepted and a new tradition began. Now every October, the doors of the Bay Family Mansion are unlocked. The ghosts and ghouls come out to play. They invade all of Bayville Adventure Park. They transform it into a spooky world of frights and surprises. As a result every October, Bayville Adventure Park becomes Bayville Scream park. Happy Halloween.
